FFKM Seals: High-Performance Perfluoroelastomer for Extreme Sealing Applications
FFKM, also known as perfluoroelastomer, is the ultimate material for seals used in highly demanding environments. With outstanding chemical resistance to nearly all substances — including aggressive acids, bases, solvents, and hydrocarbons — FFKM offers unparalleled performance. It can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -25 °C to +270 °C, making it one of the most versatile elastomers for extreme conditions. Special compounds are also available for use down to approximately -46 °C and up to around +340 °C; however, it is important to note that these ranges cannot be covered by a single material. If high-temperature resistance is required, low-temperature performance must be compromised, and vice versa.
FFKM is also available with certifications such as FDA, 3A Sanitary Standard, and USP Class VI.
FFKM seals are commonly used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor industries, as well as in the oil and gas sector. These seals are known for their durability, reliability, and ability to remain stable under the most extreme chemical and thermal stresses.
